Add background music

Add a music track to a Videospan video and set it as background music, so it loops quietly under the speaker for the whole video.

A little music makes a video feel finished. Add a track, and Videospan sets it up to sit quietly under the speaker.

Watch: Add background music (0:53)

Steps

  1. Open a video and select Edit.
  2. Select Audio. My Assets holds your organization's music.
  3. Select a track to add it to the timeline.
  4. In the inspector, next to Use as Background Music, select Apply. The volume drops so the speaker is easy to hear, and the track loops and is trimmed to the length of your video.
  5. Adjust Volume, Fade In and Fade Out if you need to.

Good to know

  • Stock music. On the Stock tab, search for a track, select it, then select Acquire License to add it to My Assets.
  • Long tracks. A track starts at its full length, which can run past the end of your video. Use as Background Music trims it to fit.
  • Swap the track. Select Replace next to Replace Track to try a different song.
