Videospan V3: What you need to know.
Webinars

Create a webinar

Set up a live, branded webinar in Videospan, choose a recording layout, and invite speakers and viewers with a link.

A webinar is a live session that runs entirely in the browser, and Videospan records it for you. Speakers join with a guest link, your audience watches with a watch link, and neither needs a Videospan account.

Watch: Create a webinar (0:46)

Steps

  1. Select Create in the top bar, then choose Group Recording (Webinar).
  2. Enter a Title, such as Product Roadmap Live Q&A.
  3. Optionally, set a Scheduled start. It's for reference only: you start the session yourself from the webinar room.
  4. Optionally, choose a Campaign and a Brand template for the live scenes and recording.
  5. Choose a Recording layout:
    • Grid shows everyone at equal size.
    • Spotlight features one speaker at a time.
    • Picture-in-picture shows a full frame with an inset.
  6. Choose a Tile shape: 16:9, 1:1 or 3:4.
  7. Select Create webinar. The lobby opens, where you can check your camera and microphone.
  8. Select Copy guest link and send it to your speakers, and Copy watch link for your audience.

Good to know

  • Your recording has a home. Videospan creates a collection named after the webinar, and its recordings, clips and guest uploads all land there.
  • Layouts can change live. The host can switch between Grid and Spotlight during the session. Picture-in-picture stays fixed for the whole session.
  • Start when you're ready. Select Join session in the lobby when it's time to go live.
