Create a collection

Create a Prompt & Response Collection in Videospan to gather video responses from customers, teammates or anyone with the link.

A collection gathers video responses to a prompt you write, such as customer stories, team introductions or event feedback. You write the prompt once, share a link, and every response lands in the same place, ready to review, edit and share.

Watch: Create a collection (0:42)

Steps

  1. Select Create in the top bar, then choose Prompt & Response Collection.
  2. Enter a Collection Name. Only you and your team see this name, so make it easy to recognize, such as Customer Stories Q4.
  3. Write the Prompt. This is the question responders see before they record, such as How has our product helped your team this quarter?
  4. To ask more than one question, choose Multi Q, then select Add Prompt for each extra prompt.
  5. Select Create collection. Your new collection opens on its Collect Responses page.
  6. Select Copy Link (or download the QR code) and share it with the people you want to hear from.

Good to know

  • Responders don't need an account. Anyone who opens the link can record or upload a response, and it goes straight into your collection.
  • Choose who on your team can see it. Use Folder and Access on the create form to file the collection and control who in your organization can see it. You can change the purpose, prompts and access later.
  • Set a time limit. Max Video Length caps how long each response can be.
