Videospan V3: What you need to know.
Transcripts

Edit a transcript

Fix any word in a Videospan transcript, and choose whether to add the correction to your Lexicon so future transcripts get it right.

Transcripts are generated automatically, and you can fix any word in a few clicks. Your fix carries through to captions, downloads and search.

Watch: Edit a transcript (0:46)

Steps

  1. Open any video from Content, then open the Transcript panel.
  2. Select the edit button to open the transcript editor.
  3. Double-click a word to change it, type the correction and press Enter. Use Find words to jump to a word in a long transcript.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Videospan asks whether to add your corrections to the Lexicon. Choose Add selected to lexicon so future transcripts get them right, or No, just save to fix this video only.

Good to know

  • Undo as you go. Select Undo in the editor to step back through your changes before you save. The edit history at the bottom lists every change.
  • Fix the same word everywhere. If a name or term keeps coming out wrong, add it to the Lexicon instead of fixing each video.
