Teach transcripts your words
Use the Videospan Lexicon to teach transcripts how to spell brand names, product names and jargon they tend to mishear.
Transcripts can mishear brand names, product names and jargon. The Lexicon teaches Videospan how to spell them, so new transcripts get them right automatically.
Steps
- Open Brand Kits in the sidebar, then the Lexicon tab.
- Select Add Entry.
- Under Original, enter what the transcript gets wrong, like video span.
- Under Replacement, enter the correct spelling, like Videospan.
- Enter the language, like en, then select Save.
Good to know
- Applies to new transcripts. To update a video that was already transcribed, select Re-transcribe in its Transcript panel.
- Add words while editing. When you save a transcript edit, Videospan offers to add your corrections to the Lexicon.
- Shared across your organization. Lexicon entries apply to everyone's transcripts.
Video transcript
Transcripts can mishear brand names and jargon. The Lexicon teaches Videospan how to spell them. Open Brand Kits in the sidebar, then the Lexicon tab. Select Add Entry. Under Original, enter what the transcript gets wrong, like video span, as two words. Under Replacement, enter the right spelling. Then add the language. Select Save. From now on, new transcripts use your spelling. To update an existing video, select Re-transcribe in its Transcript panel.
